John Richards has been writing, and people have covered his songs, for nearly fifty years now. Robin Dransfield, Paul Downes and Phil Beer, Fairport Convention, Show of Hands, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, and Mike Silver have all recorded John’s songs over the years. He released a new CD not long before lockdown and finally has the chance to share some of the new songs. John says - For our friends in Warwickshire. We are delighted to confirm that we are, at last, able to bring a complete line up to our next gig. The really outstanding fiddler / singer Kathleen (Kath) Ord will be with us on Wednesday 9th April at Malc and Gill's Bedworth Folk Club. Kath has toured with the Unthanks, Simply Dylan and the Gren Bartley Band and we are delighted with her addition and the way the band is sounding.
