Andy lives in Cambridgeshire where, with other committee members, he runs the Ely Folk Club and is a member of the organising committee of the highly rated Ely Folk Festival. A stalwart of the folk scene for more than forty years, Andy has performed at clubs and festivals across the UK and worldwide. Alongside his solo work, in 2016 he teamed up with wordsmith Gareth Calway to create a show with narrative and song to commemorate the bicentenary of the Ely and Littleport riots. This was performed several times that summer and the collaboration has continued and with the addition of harpist, Vanessa Wood-Davies, the writing and performing team continues as "The Penland Phezants".
